The Old Rectory
Our self catering cottage is located within the grounds of The Old Rectory which was built in 1861. The cottage was once a Coach House used to house the horses, carriage and groom that the Rector and his family required. This has now been converted into a stylish, modern holiday cottage which offers visitors the opportunity to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings.
Buckhorn Weston is a pretty unspoilt rural village in North Dorset which lies on the edge of the beautiful rolling hills of the Blackmore Vale. The village is home to the historic 13th Century church of St. John the Baptist and the renowned inn, The Stapleton Arms is a 2 minute stroll away with its excellent and varied menu.
For the youngsters there is a large village green with a range of play equipment within walking distance to the rear of The Stapleton Arms.
In recent years we have become ‘carbon neutral’ with the addition of solar panels which provide for all our electricity needs.
This self catering Coach House is situated at the crossroads of Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire, it makes this an ideal place to stay for sightseeing or just relaxing and enjoying the surroundings.
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
